On September 28 2010 the national search begins for two Trainee Toyologists. Mattel is offering kids across the nation the chance to land their dream job.

Two lucky kids; one boy and one girl, aged between five and ten will join Mattel’s elite toy testing team at the beginning of 2011. The winners of this dream job will review a big box of the latest toys every month for one year. The new Toyologists’ hard work will be rewarded with a fantastic salary paid in the currency of fun…TOYS!

Mattel’s new Trainee Toyologists will be flown to Melbourne to attend the prestigious ToyLab Academy for a day of comprehensive funology training.

Stationed at Mattel HQ in Melbourne, the ToyLab Academy will give Mattel’s newest members of staff the chance to meet Chief Toyologist, Adam Hyman and the opportunity to check out the latest and greatest toys for Christmas.

New Zealand’s first ever Trainee Toyologists, Connor Williams, eight years old of Auckland and Hana Pearce of Christchurch, also eight years old, say that they have had the best year of their lives and can’t wait to meet the new recruits.

“Being a Toyologist rocks! I have had some awesome toys and even toys that make learning fun,” says Connor Williams.

“It’s so exciting to receive the box full of toys every month, I have had so many toys I have given some away to children that are less lucky than me,” Hana Pearce said.

Hopeful and excited applicants for 2010 can submit their one minute toy review to Mattel via video upload. The job vacancies are open until 5pm on Wednesday 20th October 2010. To upload an application, log on to www.toylab.co.nz and follow the easy steps.
