Successful multi-office Harcourts franchise Property Sales (Nelson) Real Estate Ltd is expanding again, this time opening a boutique office in the popular Upper South Island town of Mapua, around 30km from Nelson.

Located at 4 Toru Street, the new Harcourts office will open for business on Monday with a small team of well-known locals on board to provide professional real estate services to people interested in buying or selling property in Mapua and the surrounding area.

As business owners Amanda James and Mike Rollo explain the boutique Harcourts Mapua office, which will be operated as a satellite of the Nelson office, will enable their company to better service the Mapua area.

“Mapua is a go-ahead seaside town proving increasingly popular not just as a place to visit but also as a place in which to reside or to own a holiday home and given this we made the strategic decision to set up an office there in order to play a more active role in the market.”

The pair, whose company already operates Harcourts offices in Nelson, Richmond, Golden Bay and late last year opened a branch in Motueka, says the support they’ve had from within the Mapua community ahead of their office opening has been very positive.

“Based on the feedback we’ve had people in the area are obviously excited about the benefits of the Harcourts brand, our service, systems and support, particularly given we’ve got three high-profile locals on board to deliver The Harcourts Way - experienced realtor Gavin Barlow and well-known local women Wendy Perry and Angela Holbrook.”

As they explain, the new Harcourts Mapua team will initially be focused on residential and lifestyle property sales and marketing, with property management services a possibility in the future.

Harcourts New Zealand CEO Hayden Duncan has welcomed the establishment of a new Harcourts office in Mapua.

“It’s great to see the Harcourts group continuing to grow, particularly through expansion into new markets,” he says.
