MANUKAU CITY

Appliance retail giant The Good Guys continue their expansion in to the New Zealand market with their third large format store at the Manukau Supa Centre. The store is set to open with four days of celebrations starting Thursday 14th October with a $10,000 store dollar cash drop for 30 lucky community members.

Throughout the Grand Opening there are lots of great activities and chances to win. On the hour every hour, customers can enter to win a place inside The Good Guys Cash Booth to grab their share of $1,000 store dollars. There will also be hot popcorn, face-painting, clowns and fairies to keep the kids entertained.

In the appliance retail market, which is dominated by ‘interest free’ promotional advertising, newcomer ‘The Good Guys’ encourages consumers to opt for debt reducing payment choices with their ‘Pay Less, Pay Cash’, philosophy, and ask for a discount. Store owner and local Manukau Good Guy David Morris explains;

“The concept of ‘Pay Less, Pay Cash’ originated back in times when paying on the spot with cash was a common way to negotiate a deal. These days you can pay any way you like, we’re just encouraging people to get the price down by asking for a discount.”

The Good Guys ‘Pay Less, Pay Cash’ philosophy also encourages customers to opt for payment methods that involve their own money, avoiding additional payments and unwanted debt associated with credit and finance schemes.

David also guarantees that the customer will get the best possible price with The Good Guys exclusive 30 day price guarantee.

“If a customer discovers a better advertised price for the same item they have purchased by any competitor’s retail store in Auckland, we will cheerfully refund the difference plus another 20%.”

The Good Guys New Zealand entry comes after almost 60 years of steady growth in the Australian market. Since its inception in 1952, The Good Guys has expanded their operations to now encompass 92 appliance retail stores across Australia.
