Meeting held to discuss deputy mayoralty

A meeting was held yesterday (Wednesday) with Councillor Darren Ludlow and
Councillor Jackie Kruger to discuss the deputy mayoralty, Invercargill Mayor Tim
Shadbolt said today.

Mr Shadbolt said that at the meeting he had reaffirmed his preference for Councillor
Kruger to become the Deputy Mayor.

“In the interests of setting the tone for a cohesive Council, Councillor Ludlow
confirmed that he will focus on working as Chairman of Regulatory Services and as
a Director of Electricity Invercargill Limited over the next term in office,” Mr Shadbolt
said.
