It’s going to be a primo summer and Jim Beam is set to crank up the heat at the phatest events - BW Camping Festival in Gizzy, Big Day Out 2011 in Auckland and Jim Beam Homegrown in Wellington.

BW Camping Festival is set to go off again this year. Five camping grounds all in walking distance of each other on the sunny shores of Gisborne will play host to the hoards of punters venturing to the East Coast over New Year’s from December 28 – January 2. It’s New Zealand’s biggest summer camping festival and the action is non-stop. The Jim Beam Soundshell is the place to be to hear some of the wickedest NZ bands like Kora, P-Money, Sola Rosa and The Black Seeds.  There will also be hotties busting it out in the Bikini Jam, mad surfing tricks in the New Wave Tow-AT and Wake board Jam, Skate comp, summer beach soccer series and heaps more. The hot Jim Beam Party Crew will be getting amongst it at the campgrounds hosting competitions and challenges the lads won’t want to miss. Jim Beam has tickets to give away so campers need to keep an eye out on www.facebook.com/JimBeamPartyCrew for details or buy tickets at www.bwcampgrounds.co.nz.

Even after 16 years, Big Day Out is still THE music event of the year. Held at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland from 11am on Friday January 21, it’s a day not to be missed, so Jim Beam is encouraging workers to blame that nasty heat stroke and pull a sicky to get there if they need to. The stellar line-up includes Tool, Rammstein, Iggy and the Stooges, M.I.A, LCD Soundsystem, Lupe Fiasco and heaps more.  The Jim Beam Party Crew will be hooking up the crowds with Jim Beam gear and taking snaps throughout the day and Jim Beam is the exclusive bourbon supplier at BDO so punters won’t be left thirsty. Nab tickets from Real Groovy, Marbecks, all Ticketmaster outlets, phone and credit card bookings on 0800 111 999 or www.ticketmaster.co.nz and www.bigdayout.com.

To top off an epic summer, Jim Beam Homegrown blows up across the Wellington Waterfront with the best of Kiwi music on Saturday March 5, 2011. Six stages host a monster line-up of 40 bands including Dane Rumble, J Williams, Savage, Tiki, Coco Solid, Salmonella Dub, Katchafire and loads more. The Jim Beam Rock Stage is where it’s at with a new outdoor bar and chill out area PLUS Blindspott, Midnight Youth, The Feelers, Elemeno P and more hammering the stage. Tickets are available through Ticketek, but punters need to get in quick because the last three years running have been sell-outs!

Jim Beam Brand Manager Jennifer Robinson says:

“We are stoked to be supporting some of the best music events this country has to offer. Jim Beam is a proud supporter of New Zealand music and these events will showcase the outstanding array of sounds New Zealanders are mixing up for a Kiwi summer. So grab a Jim Beam and get your crew geared up for these wicked gigs – it’s gonna go off!”
