As the blasts take to the skies give a thought to what you can do for your pets. With the unnatural nature of the noise many dogs will be anxious and stressed out during this time. The best advice says Simon from Dog Guru is to close the doors and windows and pretend there is nothing out of the ordinary. Also ensure that your dog has access to the areas where it usually relaxes at night whether that be in a bedroom or dining room of under the bed.

Watch out for your pets but don't stress too much as it is a short term problem but make sure the stress does not escalate too much to the point of being out of control. Take them for a walk beforehand, give them dinner and then relax as usual.
