First Assistance will continue to provide expert assistance across Ford’s entire fleet of new vehicles after winning the contract for the fourth consecutive term.

The three year contract includes provision of a full roadside assistance programme on all new Fords across the country and with those customers renewing Ford roadside assistance, management of the vehicle repairs and returns process for the Ford dealership network and support services for the company’s head office staff.

Ford New Zealand says the company is looking forward to continuing its relationship with First Assistance and providing Ford owners with a premium roadside assistance package should they find themselves in an emergency.

“We began working with First Assistance in 2001 and were impressed with the roadside assistance package the company was able to implement for us,” says Ford Customer Service Division Director Craig Sterritt.

“Nine years on, First Assistance continues to build on that offering by introducing new and effective technologies and solutions which ensure our customers can enjoy their driving experience with total peace of mind,” he says.

First Assistance General Manager Mary-Jo McDonald is looking forward to growing the long standing relationship between the two companies.

“We are immensely proud of our association with Ford and the work our two businesses have done together over the past nine years. We are pleased to be able to continue this strong working relationship and to provide a standard of roadside assistance befitting Ford’s global brand,” says McDonald.

First Assistance manages all roadside assistance calls from its Auckland offices to provide 24 hour support for vehicle owners. Assistance staff include automotive technicians who are on hand to assess the breakdown or emergency and dispatch the most suitable response team from First Assistance’s national network of providers.
