Decisions Released on Private Plan Change Applications

New Plymouth District Council has released decisions on two private plan change applications to the New Plymouth District Plan.
Private Plan Change 2 – the rezoning of 12.5ha of land on Egmont Rd from Rural and Residential A Environment Area to Industrial C Environment Area – has been approved by the council with a number of conditions and required changes.
Private Plan Change 9 – the rezoning of 18.5ha of land in the vicinity of Huatoki St and Carrington Rd from Rural Environment Area to Residential A Environment Area – has also been adopted, again with a number of conditions and required changes.
The applicants for Private Plan Changes 2 and 9 were Graphite Management Ltd and Hawkswood Management Ltd respectively. Sixteen public submissions were received for Private Plan Change 2 while 14 were received for Private Plan Change 9.
All parties have the right of appeal against the decisions to the Environment Court within 30 working days.
