It was Seremone all the way as Ike Unsworth and his lovely VDL bred horse jumped two superb clear rounds to take out the third in the New Zealand World Cup series on the final day of the two day three star Feilding A and P Show this evening (Saturday).

The full time rider from Tauranga was all class as he headed off seven other combinations to take victory before a charged atmosphere in the ManField Park indoor arena.

Hot on his heels was New Zealand World Games rider, and world cup series leader Katie McVean (Mystery Creek) aboard her second horse Dunstan Daffodil. They picked up an uncharacteristic eight faults in the first round of the very technical Leicester Jarden designed course but flew home clear in the second.

McVean now has a healthy nine point lead ahead of Unsworth as New Zealand's top riders head to the fourth round at the Christmas Classic in Taupo in two weeks time.

McVean and Daffodil featured again in the one star grand prix earlier in the show with a second placing – thanks to a single time fault – behind Bernard Denton (Gisborne) on Suzuki who were the only combination completely clean and clear.

In the young rider class Matthew Dickie (Taranaki) and Kiwi Guard were the only combination of the eight starters to leave all the fences in place, and it was a similar situation in the pony grand prix where series leader Logan Massie (Dannevirke) and Kickin the Clouds were solitary in their clean score card to take the honours and, more importantly, the valuable points.
