It's the one domestic cricket title that eluded them last summer, but the Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights have just surged to the top of this summer's HRV Cup Twenty20 leaderboard after a second-round, eight-wicket win over the Auckland Aces followed up by crushing the Otago Volts by nine wickets in the third round at Oamaru yesterday evening.
The pink-clad team now heads to Wellington to take on the Wellington Firebirds at the Basin Reserve on Sunday.
