District-Wide Total Hosing Ban

Water flows in all rivers in the Tararua District have dropped dramatically over the last few days and Council’s resource consents require it to impose restrictions to minimise water use.

Weather forecasts do not predict any sizeable rain in the near future and therefore it has become necessary to impose a Total Hosing Ban over the entire Tararua District.

The total hosing ban applies to all properties connected to town water supplies in Eketahuna, Pahiatua, Woodville and Dannevirke.

“The assistance of residents in conserving water is essential” said Dave Watson, Utilities Manager.
