People interested in the future of the city's CBD invited to attend a public meeting
If you are passionate about the future of Invercargill’s Central Business District (CBD) then the Invercargill City Council wants you.
Invercargill City Councillor Norman Elder said people interested in the future of the city’s CBD are invited to a public meeting.
Cr Elder will chair the public meeting which will be held on Monday, January 24 from 5.15 pm to 7 pm in the Drawing Room at the Civic Theatre.
“At the meeting we want to hear from people who are interested in the CBD and the new Inner City Steering Group.
“The group will be involved in recommending a new direction for the future of Invercargill’s CBD,” Cr Elder said.
Cr Elder said the group will include people who represent business and other communities involved in the CBD.
At the meeting Consultant Bill Watt will put forward a presentation about the CBD and then those attending the meeting are invited to share their views on the presentation.
