Bus users in Taranaki have an opportunity to air their views on the quality of the region's public transport system.

The Taranaki Regional Council is running its annual survey of passengers who use CityLink services in and around New Plymouth, and once-a-week SouthLink services in South Taranaki.

Survey questionnaires are available on buses and at public libraries and iSites around the region. New Plymouth CityLink passengers can also complete the survey online at www.taranakibus.info.

"Last year we introduced major changes to CityLink services and also tweaked many of the SouthLink services, so now's a good time to ask passengers what they think," says the Taranaki Regional Council's Director-Operations, Rob Phillips. The Council provides the bus services through contractors Tranzit Coachlines (CityLink) and Hawera Taxis and Pickering Motors (SouthLink).

"The survey results will be of immense value to us as we consider future changes, and also in our reports to our funding partner, the New Zealand Transport Agency," says Mr Phillips.

"We're urging passengers to take this opportunity to give us their feedback and ideas."
