Fresh from the bright lights of New York Fashion Week, international Celebrity Stylist Britt Bardo has set her sights on Air New Zealand Fashion Week.

Described by leading US publication Forbes as the “superstar stylist” behind uber-popular Hollywood starlet Kate Hudson’s look, Britt has also dressed influential Tinseltown stars such as Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes, Christina Ricci, Brittany Murphy, Michelle Rodriguez, Dita von Teese, Jessica Simpson and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Britt’s love of life and fashion and her instinct for style have made her a secret weapon for stars and photographers alike and her work comes alive on the page, runway, or red carpet. Inspired by sources as diverse as Helmut Newton, artist Audrey Kawasaki, and the beauty of everyday things, Britt loves to bring contrasts – hard and soft, organic and metallic – to the fore and illuminate the natural beauty and the unique features of every client and environment.

Influential publications such as Premiere, Cosmopolitan, Life, Flare, C Magazine, Esquire, V, Harpers Bazaar, Japanese Elle, and UK Instyle, have featured Britt’s editorial work, while her talents have been spotlighted in Harper’s Bazaar, Flare, Instyle and Vogue.

Britt has recently teamed up with fellow stylist and best friend Jewels to create their distinctive clothing line Rose. With a combination of vintage detailing, beautifully soft fabrics and easy silhouettes, the girls’ goal is to create a line that is special yet affordable and becomes a staple in every woman’s closet. Rose will be available for Spring 2008.

Pieter Stewart, Managing Director of Air New Zealand Fashion Week, says having a stylist of Britt Bardo’s calibre at the event is a fantastic achievement.

“Britt has an eye for style and detail that will be extremely well served by the talented designers at Air New Zealand Fashion Week,” she says. “We are sure that Britt will be wowed by what’s on offer on the fashion catwalk of Aotearoa.”
