TAURANGA

Tauranga’s Bay Hopper bus services are running again and buses are on schedule after flooding of the Go Bus depot caused delays in getting buses onto the road this morning. Whakatane’s Beach Hopper service is also operating after some earlier road flooding delayed the service.

Bay of Plenty Regional Council Community Relations Manager Bronwyn Campbell said the regional council apologised for any inconvenience the delays caused passengers.

“The only bus service not running today is the Bay Hopper service between Whakatane and Tauranga due to the Matata Straights being closed. People looking to use this service should contact the call centre on 0800 4 BAY BUS for the most up to date information about timetables.”
