Christchurch company acquires American telematics firm

CHRISTCHURCH, NZ. February 11, 2011 — Christchurch-based technology firm, Telogis have made another major acquisition this week. Telogis recently announced the acquisition of New Jersey-based Intergis, a telematics company with over 2,000 clients.
This acquisition is the second in just eight months and sends a strong signal to the global telematics industry that the firm that had humble origins in NZ over 10 years ago is on track to becoming the biggest supplier of location-based services in the world.
Telogis develop and install GPS fleet tracking solutions for some of the largest fleets in North America, giving fleet managers valuable feedback on how company assets are being used and identifying profitable cost-savings as well as minimising carbon emissions.
