Treble Cone introduces computerised ticketing and new services for 2011

The 2011 Treble Cone season heralds the introduction of a new computerised ticketing system and double shift grooming to enhance the customers’ experience and the ski field’s natural features.
The new computerised ticketing system with automated gates on both chairlifts will read passes without needing to remove them from pockets. The system will also serve to speed up processing in the ticket office, cutting down queue times and introduce the reusable TCpass. The TCPass allows skiers and boarders to track their vertical metres over the season with the data stored in a personal online account. Purchases can also be made over the internet to be recalled at any ticket office computerised terminal.
“For season pass holders this will demonstrate the value of their pass and the amount of skiing or boarding they achieve throughout the season. There is also the fun element of challenging yourself to complete a maximum number of runs from a day or weekend on the snow,” said Treble Cone ski area manager Jackie Van der Voort.
To ensure optimum conditions on-piste an upgrade to Treble Cone’s grooming fleet and increased staffing will allow a double shift of grooming for the first time in several years. This will have a marked positive impact on the mountain conditions particularly for intermediate skiers and riders. It will also allow more time to develop special projects.
Treble Cone has a strong focus on snow sports skill advancement and for 2011 will exclusively offer the renowned Treble Cone Sofa Ski Improvement Camps. The Ski Camps are an all-inclusive ski training package offering serious recreational skiers a high intensity ski technique program led by some of the world’s best coaches. There are four five day camps scheduled for 2011, starting in July. Treble Cone ski school will continue to offer a wide range of programs and camps from the Ladies Ski Improvement weeks to the Riders & Sliders or TC Freeride programme for younger snow sports enthusiasts.
