Profits from tomorrow evening's televised Titans International Twenty20 match at Seddon Park in Hamilton will be donated to the Christchurch Earthquake Canterbury Relief Fund.

Northern Districts Cricket CEO David Cooper said, “Our thoughts are firmly with the people of Christchurch and this is hopefully some small way in which we can support them.

“Our parent body, New Zealand Cricket, is based there and we know that they are incredibly upset by what has happened, so specifically we are reaching out to them.”

The celebrity cricket match between the New Zealand Cricket Players' Association Samsung Masters XI and the Australian Masters XI starts at 6.30pm tomorrow (Thursday February 24) and features Stephen Fleming, Adam Parore, Dion Nash, Mark Greatbatch, Craig McDermott, Andy Bichel, Greg Matthews and other celebrated trans-Tasman players.

There will be a public observation of the tragedy at the ground and spectators will have the opportunity to donate directly via a bucket collection. The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sport.

Northern Districts Cricket extends its condolences to those who have suffered loss in Christchurch.
