New Zealand Red Cross has teamed up with FundraiseOnline to manage online donation capability to help raise funds for those affected by the Christchurch earthquake.

FundraiseOnline, New Zealand’s leader in online fundraising solutions has offered the New Zealand Red Cross its services to raise funds. These efforts have been made possible by corporate sponsors who have agreed to support the appeal by covering the direct costs of the appeal.

FundraiseOnline will therefore be able to waive normal processing and settlement fees through the support of its suppliers, Direct Payment Solutions and Silicon Dream who are also waiving their usual fees in an effort to support the appeal.

Nigel Sanderson of FundraiseOnline said “This is a truly unique event in our country’s history – the first time we have had a state of national emergency declared, and we wanted to find a way to support the people of Christchurch.

“We all need to do what we can to help everyone affected by this devastating earthquake.

“We’re happy to help the New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal by offering our services to provide them with 24 hour online donation capability, in addition to their standard service.”
