Wild South Vineyards has come up trumps producing a vibrant 2010 Sauvignon Blanc which shows all the characteristics of a classic vintage.

The fruit for this wine was sourced predominantly from the estate vineyards in the Wairau Valley, Marlborough. According to Wild South Winemaker Christie Brown this is a luxury vintage thanks to a long dry autumn with no rain adding stress to the fruits.

“The 2010 is one of the best vintages we have seen for a while. This wine has all the hallmark characters of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and is a great example of wines produced from this region,” says Brown.

The 2010 Wild South Sauvignon Blanc has mixed aromas of gooseberry, guava and grapefruit with a touch of red capsicum. The wine is wonderfully balanced, with a refreshing and flavoursome palate of ripe citrus and intriguing mineral notes.

Enjoy the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc lightly chilled with fresh seafood or antipasto, a perfect balance for these balmy summer evenings.

The 2010 Wild South Sauvignon Blanc is available at wine outlets nationwide. RRP $18.99
