Dozens of Queenstown mums and their babies took to the streets of the resort town today (March 1) on the inaugural social Buggy Walk.
More than 30 mums stepped out for some fresh air, a free coffee from Motogrill and a Cookie Muncher from Cookie Time before walking around the Queenstown Gardens and receiving a hot cookie from Cookie Time before heading back.
Cookie Time’s Verity Richard said they gave away about 40 hot cookies and the same number of Cookie Muncher toys before everyone left to stretch their legs.
“It was a great turnout and everyone loved the idea,” she said.
The walk is scheduled to happen again next week, depending on the weather, and was organized in conjunction with Motogrill’s Cath Hanna and her daughter Emily Gibbons, herself a young mum.
