Parawai School to work with TCDC along Thames foreshore this Thursday

Students from Thames' Parawai School will give the stretch of Thames' foreshore from the wharf to Kuranui Bay extra TLC this Thursday.

Thames-Coromandel District Council (TCDC) Solid Waste Officer, Bryce Louden said TCDC is delighted to support the school's project.

"We think it's great that Parawai School students want to get in and clean up along the Thames foreshore."

TCDC will collect the rubbish and dispose of it at the Thames Refuse Transfer Station, capping off a week of coastal cleanups along the west coast of the Peninsula.

Schools in the northern Peninsula pitched in on Monday and Tuesday to help with the Sustainable Coastlines' Coromandel Coastal Cleanup, with support from TCDC and Smart Environmental.
