Waimarama residents who are struggling to come to terms with the damage caused by last week’s flooding, are being offered further support.

Work and Income staff will be at the Civil Defence support centre which is located at the Waimarama Fire Station, today (Wednesday) and Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Residents who would like to consult with Work and Income about their needs in the wake of the flooding, are urged to call in between those times.

Work and Income provided similar services in flood affected Te Awanga late last week.

Anyone who requires counselling services due to the events of the past week, should also call into the CD centre at the Fire Station.

Their name and phone number will be recorded and those details will be passed on to the counselling service, who will then make contact directly with the person.
