Harcourts acknowledged the successes of its top performing Central Region Sales Consultants in the Harcourts End of Year Awards 2010/11 ceremony held at the Rotorua Convention Centre on Tuesday, 3rd May.

There were 31 awards received by individuals and offices which cover the areas of the Waikato, Coromandel and the Lakes District. Hamilton Glenview consultant Shaun Cosgrave took the title of Number One Sales Consultant in Harcourts’ Central region and has since 2003.

“Our Sales Consultants are really going from strength to strength in the central region by delivering quality solutions for their clients. It’s about having the best Sales Consultants doing the best business,” says Harcourts Group NZ CEO Hayden Duncan.

Mr Duncan knows the importance of sales for any business and Mr Cosgrave’s success in an area that has been difficult in the early part of the year proves experience, vision and putting in the work pays off.

“It has been hard in the earlier part of the year with low volumes and it’s been difficult getting the deals together but perseverance, time and the talent of our teams, and in particular Shaun, have in a better year than it could’ve been,” Mr Duncan said.

Mr Cosgrave also claimed prize for Top Rural Sales Consultant amongst a host of awards won by the five Hamilton offices and Manager of Harcourts Glenview Jan Newman knows how dedicated her team have to be.

“Shaun is, and has always been, at the top of the industry in rural and residential over years. His strength is in his memory and placing people with the right property, he takes on every opportunity.”

“As a Sales Consultant it’s imperative to maintain a high level of client contact, which is so important, and Shaun does it so well. Not only that, but Shaun’s customer service, systems, and the great team he surrounds himself with all make Shaun an outstanding individual,” says Mrs Newman.

Shaun has won many local, regional and national awards for excellence in Real Estate including the prestigious Real Estate Institute of New Zealand Sales Person of the Year Award for the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne areas for a record five times and has been the No. 1 Sales Person in New Zealand for Harcourts many times. Shaun has also been awarded a pin for selling in excess of $350 million worth of real estate which puts him at the top of real estate nationally.

Other awards for top ranking Harcourts sales consultants were won by second place getter Steve Godfrey from Harcourts Bethlehem and in third place was Sue Hopper from Harcourts Tauranga Cherrywood.
