Following the Commerce Commission’s decision to reduce mobile termination rates last week, Woosh has followed suit by cutting the cost of calling New Zealand Mobiles by 7 cents.

Mobile termination rates are the fees charged by mobile providers for other companies to receive a call or text message from their network.

“This announcement is great news for our customers and demonstrates Woosh’s commitment to bringing great value broadband and calling to New Zealanders,” said Woosh General Manager of Operations, Richard Fry.

Customers on a Woosh calling plan will benefit from resulting decrease in landline to mobile charges from 1 June 2011 to fit in with customer billing cycles.
