Nestle professional sets sail with regatta

Over 150 girls took to the water at the Young Mariners Regatta at Stanmore Bay in Whangaparaoa recently.

The girls, aged 9-18 years, who took part in the four day Regatta were from Young Mariners units around the country.

With the onset of cooler weather, Foodservice organisation Nestlé Professional ensured that the competitors were re-fuelled and warm by donating MILO and MAGGI Chicken Noodle Soup to the cause.

Akarana Young Mariners Manager, Shirleyanne Evans, said the product was a welcome respite for many of the girls who came off the water feeling the effects of the chilly Hauraki Gulf.

“The MILO and MAGGI Chicken Noodle Soup definitely got the thumbs up from the competitors.”
Young Mariners is an organization for girls aged 8-19 years old which provides opportunities for personal development through involvement in a wide range of activities.
