Rydges Welliington are integrating social media with a high profile radio campaign and text-mobile marketing to engage and encourage members of the public to go on a treasure hunt on the streets of Wellington in hot pursuit of essential clues .

Classic Hits FM Breakfast Show combined with the Rydges Wellington Facebook and Twitter sites will reveal the ‘secret locations’ where the clues and specially appointed Rydges Ambassadors will be around the Capital between 12-2pm.

To be successful and qualify for entry into the ‘Live Like a VIP’ grand prize draw, entrants have two ways to enter the competition – in person by locating five unique codes found dotted around the city at five famous local landmarks and texting the codes off their mobiles or by answering key questions relating to the landmarks posted on Facebook.

For those who are unsuccessful due to locating less than five codes, Rydges Wellington will revive the odds by offering a spot prizes draw.

Spot prizes for runners up in the ‘Live Like a VIP’ promotion include; Superior room accommodation vouchers at Rydges Wellington, Te Papa Vouchers, a 2-month City Fitness membership, 6 Bottles of Moet & Chandon Champagne or up to $50 worth of Corporate cabs vouchers.

The ‘Live Like a VIP’ competition will be drawn at 4pm today by Mr Simon White, General Manager Rydges Wellington.The winner will be notified immediately and must be at least 18 years of age.
