Tararua District Council Rates Rebate

Ratepayers who have not yet returned their rates rebate application form, or who are uncertain about their eligibility to claim a rebate, are asked to contact the council. The deadline for this year’s rebate is 30 June so please get in touch as soon as possible.

The income threshold for this year, based on income received from 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010, was $22,340.00, but even if your income was higher than this, you may be still eligible. The maximum rebate is $570.00.

Staff will be happy to assist anyone who is unclear about whether they are eligible for a rate rebate. You can visit any of council’s service centres or ring 06 374 4080.

For those who have applied previously, application forms for the next financial year (1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012) will be posted out in August.
