Natasha Crampton appointed legal counsel for Microsoft New Zealand

Microsoft New Zealand today announced the appointment of Natasha Crampton as legal counsel.

Natasha will focus on supporting Microsoft’s commercial work in New Zealand with a range of responsibilities covering commercial transactions and litigation. Initially Natasha will be based in Auckland, but will move across to Sydney later in the year as part of a regional legal team collaborating across New Zealand and Australia.

“Natasha is a terrific lawyer who has extensive experience working with Microsoft,” says Jeff Bullwinkel, Associate General Counsel and Director of Legal Corporate Affairs for the Asia Pacific region, Microsoft.

“I’ve had the good fortune of working with Natasha for a number of years now and know she’ll be a fantastic addition to the team. A number of our Kiwi clients have already had the opportunity to work with Natasha when she was an associate at Hudson Gavin Martin, not surprisingly the feedback has been very positive.”

Natasha joins Microsoft New Zealand from the Kiwi law firm Hudson Gavin Martin, where she specialised in litigation, including for the technology sector. Previously, Natasha spent a number of years as an associate with Mallesons Stephen Jaques, a law firm that works for Microsoft in Australia. In both previous roles Natasha worked extensively on Microsoft matters and has considerable experience providing guidance on a range of diverse projects from commercial licensing to anti-piracy and corporate affairs.

Natasha’s impressive qualifications include an LLB (Honours) and a BCom in Information Systems.
