NZ Agritech Incorporated and Fieldays International Marketing Limited have announced an initiative, called NZ Agritech Global, to expand the scope for New Zealand agriculture companies to participate in offshore marketing opportunities.

The two organisations will combine to provide one entity planned to be the principal organisation and driver of market initiatives and development for agribusiness exports in the private sector.
The alliance will enable an effort to provide additional market development options for interested companies in selected global regions; where the application of New Zealand products, technologies and services can be developed.

In a joint statement Barry Quayle, General Manager, NZ National Fieldays and Jim Grennell, Chairman, NZ Agritech Inc. said, “This new entity will provide the resources and strength for exciting export development for the agriculture sector when the world was seeking enabling technologies and products to increase agriculture productivity. Both Fieldays and NZ Agritech have independent brands and strengths globally and that together can provide leverage for opportunities with agribusiness export.

Barry Quayle added that the new organisation will bring increased benefits for exhibitors at Fieldays and NZ Agritech members, and facilitate more companies into export.

“The demand for what many New Zealand agriculture companies have to offer has never been better and it is important to further establish a greater collaborative presence in key markets while this positive environment exists”, they said.

Initiatives to take New Zealand agriculture exporting companies into key territories will be brought together and a program of in market visits is being planned.

The Fieldays Society’s flagship event, the New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays, is on now until Saturday at Mystery Creek Events Centre. Fieldays is proudly supported by strategic partners; ANZ and the University of Waikato. Tickets to the event can be purchased at the gate or online www.fieldays.co.nz.
