The Guild congratulates Unichem Clive’s Pharmacy in Lower Hutt for winning the Supreme Award at the 2011 New Zealand Pharmacy Awards held at SkyCity Grand in Auckland on Saturday night.

Unichem Clive’s Pharmacy is owned by Clive Cannons and was the winner of the Best Community Pharmacy Business category as well as the Supreme Award winner.

Guild president, Ian Johnson, says the success of Guild members at this year’s Pharmacy Awards reflects well on the Guild as an organisation that works hard to raise the standards of community pharmacy in New Zealand.

“I particularly want to talk about Clive Cannons because the award acknowledges that he runs an outstanding business that provides excellent service to his patients - making a significant difference in their lives and the lives of their families,” he said after the awards.

“The high number of Guild pharmacies represented among the finalists indicates the excellent quality of care and service that our members are committed to giving to their communities.”

The 2011 New Zealand Pharmacy Awards were judged by Graham Gyde, Gray Maingay, Professor John Shaw, Harvey Lockie, Chris Budgen, Natalie Gauld, Angela Fulljames and Tracey Ballantyne.

The Pharmacy Guild is a sponsor of the Best Community Pharmacy Business award. For more information about the New Zealand Pharmacy Awards, visit www.pharmacyawards.co.nz.
