WELLINGTON CITY

Dress for Success Wellington is the lucky beneficiary of thousands of dollars worth of charity support as a fortunate result of a collaborative project between Wellington designer Nada Piatek of deNada and the Capital’s Bolton Hotel, the city’s only Qualmark five star rated boutique property. Dress for Success Wellington will receive corporate and interview-worthy clothing as the Bolton Hotel phase in their new uniforms and pass on their old this week.

After many months of Piatek developing the new “corporate with a personality” uniforms for the Bolton Hotel, front of house staff are now stepping out in frill collared tailored jackets with striking red shirts that have been chosen to fit with the hotels branding.

“The Bolton Hotel is a proudly independent Wellington Company with a strong sense of our unique personality. We were looking with a fashion design label with similar values and found it in deNada’s striking and individual designs.”

As staff step out in the strong and sassy suits, the clothes they leave behind will be donated to Dress for Success Wellington - in particular to assist the organisation’s Professional Women’s Group (PWG) members to further their business attire.

The PWG is an international networking association for Dress for Success Wellington clients who have recently entered the workforce, some for the first time. It has been created to promote employment retention and career advancement by providing valuable skill-building information while creating a safe environment in which members can network with other professionals. It is the first and only employment retention model that moves low-income women towards self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs in relation to work, home and community.

Cyndi Christensen, Executive Manager of Dress for Success Wellington says “The ongoing support of business women such as Nada Piatek at deNada and Meredith Ryan at the Bolton Hotel helps facilitate the great outcomes that Dress for Success Wellington achieves. The development of personal self- sufficiency will impact on women’s homes, their families, whanau and community as they become role models of success for the next generation.”

As a long time supporter of Dress for Success Wellington, deNada is further gifting to the charity in the form of a profile building promotion and appeal to their customers. For every item that customers bring into deNada stores to donate to Dress for Success Wellington, deNada will match it with end of season stock.
