Tony Blair to Visit Australia and New Zealand In July 2011

AUCKLAND

This July, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair, will make his first public speaking tour of Australia and New Zealand since leaving office in 2007. The visit, presented by Anthony Pratt and VISY, will offer attendees at the each of these events an opportunity to hear from one of the world's preeminent thought leaders.

A highly engaging speaker, Mr. Blair will deliver keynote presentations in Melbourne, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth focused on the future global outlook, with particular attention paid to the Middle East, emerging markets and global economy.

Currently, Mr. Blair holds the position as Office of the Quartet Representative to the Middle East under the mandate of the United Nations, European Union, United States of America and Russia. Mr. Blair has also taken a key role in tackling climate change, founding the Climate Group in 2004, an independent, not-for-profit organization, working internationally with government and business leaders to advance the smart policies, technologies and finance needed to cut global greenhouse gas emissions and unlock a 'clean industrial revolution'.


Additionally, since leaving office, Mr. Blair founded the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative, Tony Blair Faith Foundation and the Tony Blair Sports Foundation.
