The app of New Zealand’s number one news website has just got even better with the adoption of new functionality to allow offline browsing.

In its latest update out today,’s iPhone and iPad app has undergone a series of improvements which sees it using less memory, thereby increasing its speed and reliability.

Unlike the previous version, the Stuff app will now download all its content within every news section as soon as a user opens the app. The app is therefore more useful when the device is in offline mode, as it is now possible to view the entire site uploaded at last launch. Marketing Manager Phillipa Cameron says it’s the benefit of the digital age that updates are able to be made on an on-going basis, both as technology improves and in response to consumer feedback.

“We continually review the satisfaction of our app users and with this latest update, have responded to their feedback by adopting new download technology. We encourage our users to rate this new app and see how well we’ve delivered. Our changes ensure our app users get all the latest news on the go in an informative, entertaining and easy to read format for mobile. Amongst other changes, we’ve also made the app’s weather offering more prominent – which might be handy as winter sets in!” says Cameron.

Iphone and iPad users can download the new app at - or via the app store.
