Akaroa bush fire

There is a fire burning in the bush at the Hinewai Reserve in the hills above Akaroa.

The Christchurch City Council and local volunteer fire crews are actively fighting the fire.

The Council requests that residents do not to use Long Bay Road to keep it clear for emergency vehicles.
