All local roads in the area are now open, including Kerr Hill Road and Korere-Tophouse Road up to St Arnaud.

State Highways 63 and 6 are also open to all traffic.

Contractors are still busy clearing snow from roadsides in St Arnaud to ensure properties are accessible. Several roads particularly in western part of district have been affected by fallen trees due to wind and slips. Clean-up is ongoing on roads including:

  • Abel Tasman Drive (Wainui Hill)
  • Totaranui Road
  • Wharariki Road
  • Rototai Road
  • Dry Road
  • Pomona Road (under traffic control)
  • Sunday Creek Road
  • Thorpe-Orinoco Road

Some surface flooding is also being attended to around the district.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully.
