Road Works on Church Street

The Palmerston North City Council would like to notify motorists that road closures may be enforced between the hours of 9am and 4pm on Church Street from Tuesday 12 July 2011.

The closures are to allow the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Church Street and Linton Street and to improve pedestrian safety.

The Council has already started work on strengthening the road in preparation and ask that motorists avoid using the section of Church Street between Linton and Pitt Streets to avoid delays and unnecessary congestion.

Road closures will only be enforced when necessary and will be weather dependant. Work is expected to be completed by the end of August.
