Icy Conditions Forecast for District's Roads

Fine and frosty weather is predicted for Friday morning (15 July 2011). Given the cold and wet weather over the last few days, there is a risk of exceptional icy conditions (including black ice) forming around the roading network. Council’s contractors will be gritting the main routes as a priority, followed by other local roads.

Extreme caution will be required by road users on all roads. The Metservice is predicting mainly fine and frosty weather through until at least Tuesday.
