This year's Daily Post Home & Leisure Show took place over the weekend with hundreds of people visiting Rotorua District Council’s stand and talking to staff about a range of projects and activities the council is currently involved in.

The council display included the Redwoods Forest’s new trail maps, a public survey to help prepare a new long term plan for Rotorua, Rugby World Cup 2011 activities for local people to be involved in, updates on the District Plan, public art, recycling, CBD Implementation Plan ideas and much more.

Visitors to the RDC stand also had the chance to say why they love living in the Central Park Region, taking part in a quick survey and short filmed interview, and being entered into a draw to win two return flights from Rotorua to Sydney.

Many people also registered to be part of Rotorua’s Rugby World Cup 2011 plans giving them the chance to win a great rugby package.

The Daily Post Home & Leisure Show opened on Friday at the Energy Events Centre and finished yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, attracting thousands of visitors. More than 100 exhibitors and over 200 stands were at the show, displaying everything from beauty products and home improvements, through to furnishings and new cars.
