ABSOLUT Unveils Fashionable Campaign

ABSOLUT VODKA acknowledges its creativity with the 2011 ABSOLUT FASHION campaign, sponsorship of New Zealand Fashion Week and partnership with local, cutting edge designers, Adrian Hailwood, Huffer and Lonely Hearts.
Over the last 20 years ABSOLUT VODKA has collaborated with an array of the world’s top fashion icons to produce a host of unique and innovative fashion creations. The 2011 ABSOLUT FASHION campaign will honour this exceptional legacy, with the announcement of ABSOLUT’s support of both New Zealand Fashion Week 2011 and three leading Kiwi designers.
New Zealand Fashion Week continues to be the highlight of the local fashion calendar, and to celebrate its eleventh season, ABSOLUT will unveil ABSOLUT STUDIO – a creative space designed to showcase the best of fashion, art and music across Fashion Weekend (2 – 3 September).
Held in the Viaduct Events Centre, ABSOLUT STUDIO will feature bands including Dane Rumble, DJs and exclusive ABSOLUT FASHION cocktails from three of New Zealand’s leading designers, Adrian Hailwood, Huffer and Lonely Hearts.
Inspired by each of the designers and created by ABSOLUT, the three ABSOLUT FASHION cocktails will also be served in participating bars across New Zealand, from 1 August – 15 September.
“It’s a pleasure to once again partner with ABSOLUT,” says Adrian Hailwood, who has a long-standing relationship with the brand. “The 2011 ABSOLUT HAILWOOD cocktail looks suitably stylish and I look forward to it being showcased at Fashion Weekend.”
Lonely Hearts’ Steve Ferguson adds, “The ABSOLUT FASHION campaign celebrates fashion at a local level, and we’re thrilled to be on board this season.”
2011 will also see ABSOLUT STUDIO featuring the ever-popular ABSOLUT Mixology Seminars, which will be held across Fashion Weekend. Hosted by ABSOLUT’s resident mixologist, Chris Harrop, the seminars will feature a range of tips and tricks for creating delicious and innovative ABSOLUT cocktails, including the three designer creations.
To accompany the Fashion Week sponsorship, a distinct new ABSOLUT advertising campaign has been developed locally and shot by renowned New Zealand photographer Ross Brown. The New Zealand creative features a designer workroom look and feel, and will appear across print, digital and billboard media activity.
In addition to the advertising campaign, consumers will be given the chance to win a trip for two to the world’s ultimate fashion capital – Milan, Italy, when they purchase ABSOLUT from participating retailers or bars between 1 August and 15 September. 30ml ABSOLUT Citron
20ml lemon juice
10ml Lillet blanc
10ml triple sec liqueur
10ml white chocolate liqueur
Method: Shake all ingredients and strain into a short glass over ice
Garnish: Six frozen blackcurrants (cassis berries)
Glass: Tumbler
ABSOLUT HUFFER
Inspired by Huffer
30ml ABSOLUT Original
20ml Kahlúa
30ml freshly brewed espresso
15ml maple syrup
Dash of Fee Brothers bitters
Method: Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Garnish: Three white chocolate buttons, arranged in the shape of the Huffer symbol
Glass: Cocktail

45ml ABSOLUT Pears
30ml freshly squeezed lime juice
15ml sugar syrup
6 large mint leaves
Topped with soda
Method: Build drink in a long glass and stir
