Gather your clan, wear the kilt, the saltire and rise up and BE the nation! Kilted kiwis and anyone claiming the smallest smidge of Scottish ancestry, we summons you to join our special visitors from the old country on Friday 30th September at Auckland’s Vector Arena (the night before we greet the Auld Enemy at Eden Park!) and celebrate ALL things Scottish.
Featuring live music from The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, plus a dee-jay play-list of classic Scottish tracks from Franz Ferdinand, Travis, Del Amitri, Deacon Blue, Simple Minds, Texas, Big Country, Rod Stewart, Annie Lennox and more...
Stand-up comedy from Des McLean will keep you smiling while you consume hearty Scots fare like haggis, neeps & tatties, Lorne sausage and even deep fried Mars Bars!
Top this off with whisky tasting, other drops from the draft beer bar and cultural Scottish happenings galore - like big screens to relive those great historical moments of Scottish triumph… and disaster!
So, if you have so much as a drop of Scots blood running through your veins or even just a bit of love for Scotland in your heart, you’ll find this the most gallus party of the year!

Hailing from Glasgow, DES McLEAN is cited by Billy Connolly as being his favourite comedian. Des famously recorded a series of wind-up telephone calls for Radio Clyde that became the most talked about feature on the station, fooling stars like Sean Connery, Rod Stewart and Joan Rivers. The CD releases of these calls and live DVD’s of his stand-up comedy have become best sellers across Scotland. www.desmclean.com
