Within the past few days Hamurana Lodge Boutique Hotel has received Certificates of Excellence from Trip Advisor, been named a finalist in The Daily Post Thermal Air Hospitality and Attractions category of the Westpac Rotorua Business Excellence Awards 2011, and their Host Chef, Charlie Brown, has been nominated as a finalist in the Employee of the Year category.

The Trip Advisor Certificates of Excellence are awarded annually and are based on visitor feedback received on the Trip Advisor website. Not only was Hamurana Lodge awarded for its Hotel rating of 5 Stars, but Le Manoir Restaurant also received a Certificate of Excellence for its 5 Star rating. Certificates of Excellence are awarded to qualifying accommodations, attractions and restaurants listed on Trip Advisor that maintain a high overall user rating and a high volume of recent and quality reviews. “While we enjoy providing a high level of service to our hosted guests, it is extremely satisfying to read their personal reviews and know that their experience has exceeded their expectations”, says Hotel Director, Fred Novella.

To become a finalist in the The Westpac Rotorua Business Excellence Awards 2011 is further testimony to the hard work and efforts of the Hamurana Lodge team over the past two years of operation. The awards recognise and encourage the business community's pursuit of business excellence. Entrants are judged by leaders of local business. Competition is fierce and becoming a finalist is considered an achievement in itself.
