Conservation Week project to attract birds

A MIXTURE of trees and shrubs are to be planted on railway land along Feilding’s bird corridor on Sunday by members of the Makino Rotary Club to mark Conservation Week, which starts on Monday, September 11. The plantings are in the vicinity of Beattie and Grey Streets and aimed at attracting native birds to the area. It begins at 9am.
