Garden Competition 2011 Entries Now Open

Napier City Garden Competition 2011 Entries now open.

Entries close 4th November 2011. Judging takes place 8th and 9th of November 2011 and prize giving 24th November 2011.

Run over many years, the Napier City Council's annual garden competition is aimed at encouraging citywide pride in garden beautification. Consistently popular, the competition is open to residents, ratepayers, schools and businesses located within the Council's territorial boundaries.

The competition covers a wide variety of categories to embrace the diversity of gardens throughout the city. Essentially, there are three main categories - specialist, residential and children's gardens. Each of these categories provides for other subsections.

A local service club organises and runs each year's competition on the Council's behalf - an arrangement that has worked well for many years.
