The team at Microsoft New Zealand is handing over their corporate box for the Rugby World Cup 2011 Final to Wellington’s Niki O’Connor and 14 of her friends.

O’Connor and 14 ‘team mates’ will be winging their way to Auckland for the Rugby World Cup 2011 Final on October 23 where they will watch the match in style. Microsoft is an Official Sponsor of RWC 2011 and has run a competition for a fan, plus 14 friends, to go in the draw to be in the corporate box for the Final.
“I’m a huge sports fan and couldn’t believe it when Microsoft said I had won the 1st XV competition.

This is the ultimate prize, it doesn’t get better than a corporate box at the final – the whole team is absolutely stoked and I am still speechless!” says O’Connor.

“The team is made up of representatives of a number of different nations – quite by accident really, from Kiwi to Irish, American to Australian. We are all looking forward to the game and can’t wait to get up there.”
O’Connor’s winning team is comprised of Phyllis Meier, Darryl Gray, Ronette Druskovich, Joerg Regenaermel, Rochelle Searancke, Denise Durkin, Toni Fleming, Sarah Evans, Paul Graham, Gemma Sides, Brian Win, Jessica Jamieson, Tom Druskovich and Terry Huntley.

As Official Sponsor of RWC 2011, Microsoft provides Rugby World Cup Limited with some of the company's latest software and technology worth up to $2m. The company is providing a range of desktop and server software licenses, including Silverlight Player, Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online.

This technology will support the successful operation of RWC 2011. The sponsorship also enables cost effective global content distribution, using Silverlight technology to help provide a great online viewing experience to those unable to make it to the matches.
