Harold's Big Day Out, the annual free family event day held by the Life Education Trust, will take place on Saturday 24th September, at the Auckland Ellerslie Racecourse from 12 noon.

In its ninth year, Harold's Big Day Out provides hours of family fun during Life Education Trust Race Day.

There's plenty of free entertainment for children including the popular Dodgems, Sizzler, Giant Dropper, Challenger and Twister rides. As well as sack races, egg and spoon races, and face painting for the younger children.

Each year, Harold, the popular giraffe mascot for the Life Education Trust, visits 225,000 primary and intermediate school children throughout the country. There he helps children learn about health and wellbeing and encourages them to make healthy choices and develop a positive self-esteem.

"Harold's Big Day Out is a fantastic way for families to enjoy a fun afternoon," says Lance Hutchison for the Life Education Trust. "The day gets bigger and better each year, and is Harold's opportunity to put on free entertainment for Auckland families."

You can join the free family fun and support the charity that helps Harold help Kiwi kids.
