They may be in the midst of a gruelling Rugby World Cup campaign, but Scotland's players are still working hard in the gym.
It's a maintenance programme rather than anything heavy, but Neill Potts, Scotland's head of strength and conditioning, said the competitive instinct was still strong within the squad.
“The work the lads are doing in the gym is pretty much maintaining the strength and power built up pre-tournament," he said as the players worked out at a Wellington gym on Monday.
“We’re only letting them do 85 per cent of what they are capable of doing, but still we have guys managing PBs (personal bests) in low-impact disciplines such as chin ups, squats and so forth.
“They are keen to prove themselves, so we’re happy with that."
Scotland's next match is against Argentina at Wellington Regional Stadium on 25 September.
