Tonga recorded their first victory of RWC 2011 in a fast-paced Pool A clash against Japan at Northland Events Centre, Whangarei.

Fly half Kurt Morath proved the difference missing just one of his seven kicks in the 31-18 victory, as the teams scored three tries apiece.

Throughout the tournament we will be providing a regular Fan Forum which will include some of your comments from the official Rugby World Cup Twitter account, @rugbyworldcup, and #rwc2011, and here is a selection of your thoughts after today's matches:

@AndyGomarsall: Great game, huge character shown. Well done Tonga. Michael Leitch outstanding, deserved MOM.
@NomadCram:
I'm an Aussie watching a rugby match between Japan and Tonga at an American bar in Hong Kong. Love the world.
@EvanBelford:
A great game to watch, big ups to Tonga #IkaleTahi on the win and well played by Japan too! #RWC2011
@NeilStacey:
I was taught as a kid to "make the first tackle count". Seems that the Tonga rugby team were taught to make every tackle count.
@Buddy_the_Puppy:
Great to see the gap between the superpowers of rugby and the smaller nations narrowing. All for a better RWC!
@MatCole: Love that man of the match awards have gone to genuine best on ground players, couple MOM awards to players loosing sides.
@CherylMorgan: Titanic tussle going on between Japan & Tonga.
@DanielOlander: This Japan v Tonga match looks like it could be one of the best so far. Running rugby, counter attacks, big hits. I love it!
@CatherineCresswell: Gave my Tonga vs Japan ticket to my Nana so I could do homework instead. Who does that?!
@NickSavage: The crowd in Whangarei is ready to go! The sold-out stadium is covered red in support of #TGN and #JPN
