The Marlborough Youth Council is an important communication channel between the Council and the young people of Marlborough.

It’s made up of representatives from the local secondary schools, Community College and Business Management School. They meet monthly to discuss issues affecting youth in our community and their meetings are attended by the Mayor and councillors.

The Youth Council’s annual plan of events includes the annual Youth Art Exhibition, support for the CACTUS programme and SADD (Students Against Driving Drunk).

This year the Youth Council initiated two new projects; the Youth for Canterbury concert showcasing local talent, and this tree planting project on the Wither Walkway.
