Visitors to the North Otago Museum will be treated to a selection of new costumes as part of the Steampunk: Fabulous Fashions, Original Inspiration exhibition.

The exhibition, which runs from now until 13 March next year, features garments from the Steampunk Fashion Show alongside original Victorian items from the Museum’s own collection.

The new selection includes a lighthouse keeper, Lady Smell Good-Odouriser to High Society and supreme winner Rose-the Automated Wife. Curator Chloe Searle explained “It is fantastic seeing the costumes close up. The detail is amazing.”

A changing line-up will be presented over the course of the exhibition which is free entry and open every day.
